Valuation of Green Buildings requires a history of energy efficiency and green building data, market experience with performance of green buildings, comparables, and results of how green buildings perform. Normal real estate valuations depend substantially on published data that is not fully available for green buildings and green homes. New real estate professions and appraisal practice are being developed to enbable real estate apprasiers to understand how new green building materials are manufactured, and valuation methodologies affect consequences.

The courses for Real Estate Agents are approved in 15 states. Those states are Florida, California, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, New Mexico, Iowa, Minnesota, South Carolina, Washington State, Maryland, DC, Virginia, Illinois and Delaware. Texas and New York, and others are in the works.
