RichmondBUILD Pre-apprenticeship Construction Skills and Green Jobs Training Academy in Richmond, California  was first developed to create employment and career opportunities for Richmond residents and also to implement a strategy for reducing violence in our community.

RichmondBUILD was established in April 2007 and has quickly become a model of effective and broad public / private partnership that is focused on developing talent and skills in the high wage construction and renewable energy fields.  RichmondBUILD has received national and international recognition as an exemplary green-collar job training program.

Interested applicants may sign up at the RichmondWORKS’ One Stop Center, located at 330 - 25th Street, Richmond CA 94804.

The RichmondBUILD Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Skills & Green Careers Training Academy, in association with Carpenters Local 152 and the Carpenters Training Committee

Classes included in the training program include:

• Eco-literacy
• Operation and safety of power tools
• Construction math
• Floors, florms and foundations
• Scaffold, metal stud framing
• Job placement assistance
